Upstate Festival – ZERO TO HERO

per Carolina  Bronze Handbell Ensemble and Buncombe Street United Methodist Church  celebrate the third annual Upstate Fall Handbell Festival on September  27 and 28 with Brian Childers and Marcia Brantley as our clinicians.

ZERO to HERO

New  this year will be a new division to our festival lead by Marcia  Brantley. This is for the younger ringer or groups that are beginning to  ring. You will learn Level 2 pieces. The music will be provided for you  the day of the festival since you will not be expected to prepare prior to the festival–you have your own separate ringing track. There is an additional $10 cost per person for the music.

What to Bring

Gloves, Music Binders, Music, Tables (optional), Equipment including bells, pads, mallets, and chimes (if available).

Classes

Ringers will have the opportunity of signing up for classes at check-in. They may include the following classes:  

• “Let’s Start at the Very Beginning” basic techniques
• “Dream Weaver” bell weaving
• “Hit Me, Don't Beat Me” stopped and mallet techniques
• “All About that Bass” bass bell techniques
• New Music Reading Session

Registration Information  

You may register as a group or as an individual (orphan ringer). Groups: please send one check with the registration form. 

Early Bird registration is $35 per person (HMA members)/$40 (non-members) before August 15, 2019. Regular registration is $40 per person (HMA members)/$45 (non-members)  after August 15, 2019.

Box lunch is included with registration.
